Current Issue
Dear Readers,
We are pleased to present to you a new issue of the Wiedza Medyczna, devoted entirely to endocrinology and prepared by the team of the Endocrinology Department, CMKP. The articles gathered in this edition cover a broad spectrum of endocrine and metabolic topics—from classic endocrinopathies to issues at the intersection of endocrinology and other disciplines, such as quality of life in patients with chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis and in those with growth hormone deficiency. Metabolic disorders are significant problems in endocrinology, and this topic is discussed in the article on the impact of antipsychotic medications on the development of insulin resistance. All the papers are characterized by a contemporary approach, incorporating the latest diagnostic and therapeutic methods. Thanks to this approach, the collected works constitute valuable educational material for physicians, providing up-to-date knowledge useful in everyday clinical practice.
It should be emphasized that all publications were prepared in accordance with the principles of Evidence-Based Medicine (EBM), which guarantees an appropriate standard of credibility and currency of the information presented. Equally important is that the group of authors includes not only recognized experts in endocrinology, but also physicians undergoing specialty training in endocrinology, who actively participated in preparing these articles.
We believe that the articles presented will interest not only endocrinologists but also physicians of other specialties—everyone committed to deepening their knowledge of hormonal and metabolic disorders. We hope that reading this issue will provide you with many valuable information and practical guidelines that can be applied in day-to-day medical practice. We encourage you to read it and wish that the contents of this issue become for you a valuable educational support.
With kind regards,
Wojciech Bik
